Based on our wash-count estimate, one 80g shampoo bar may replace approximately two standard shampoo bottles, depending on personal use and storage.
Our estimate is based on an 80g bar lasting up to 60 washes when kept dry between uses. Hair length, wash frequency and product amount all affect the result.

The brand did not begin perfectly. It evolved through hairdressing, business, learning, trial and error, and a growing awareness of how much plastic waste we had all been taught to accept as normal.
Today, we are a rural Western Australian family living off-grid and building practical, lower-waste haircare for real people, real showers and real life.

Shampoo Bar Questions, Answered Quickly
From wash count to hair type, here is what you need to know before switching to lower-waste haircare.

Our “up to 60 washes” estimate is based on an 80g shampoo bar being used carefully and allowed to dry between washes. Results vary depending on hair length, thickness, wash frequency, product amount and storage. Many customers may receive around 40–60 washes, while careful storage and shorter hair may extend the bar further.

The Detox Shampoo Bar is designed for oily roots, build-up and heavy-feeling hair. The Hydration Shampoo Bar is designed for dry, curly, frizzy or sun-tired hair. Start with the needs of your scalp and then support your lengths and ends with conditioner where needed.

Yes. Thoroughly wet your hair and the bar, then rub the bar between your hands or apply it carefully to very wet hair. Massage the scalp and rinse thoroughly. A second cleanse may help when there is heavy product build-up.

Some people achieve a good result immediately, while others need several washes to adjust their technique or find the right formula. Many customers with coloured or lightened hair use our bars, but every colour service and hair history is different. If your hair is freshly coloured, highly porous or fragile, perform a strand test first and follow with conditioner.

The bars can still lather in regional or mineral-heavy water, although very hard water may change how shampoo feels on the hair. Rinse thoroughly and allow the bar to dry completely between uses.
