Cooper Delivered is being built from our off-grid life on five acres in rural Western Australia, where conserving water, growing food, making things last and learning as we go aren’t marketing themes. They’re part of everyday life.
We’re building Cooper Delivered with a longer view: to bring more making, testing and opportunity closer to home in regional Western Australia. The goal is not simply to sell from the country. It is to create something here that can eventually support local skills, meaningful work and a stronger regional manufacturing future.

Then the questions got bigger. How do we waste less? What can we grow ourselves? What old knowledge is still useful? What tools do we wish existed? What could a small rural business eventually create for the place it calls home?

Good Questions Deserve Useful Answers
Before you make the switch.
Shampoo bars are simple once you know what you’re doing. Until then, it’s completely reasonable to have questions.
A well-formulated shampoo bar can cleanse hair effectively without needing a plastic bottle. What matters most is whether the cleanser and overall formula suit your scalp, hair condition and washing routine.
Start with what is happening at your scalp, then consider your lengths. Oily roots, build-up, dryness, chemical services, texture and washing habits can all change what your hair needs.
That depends on the individual formula and the service your hair has had. Coloured, bleached, permed, relaxed and keratin-treated hair can have different needs, so check the specific product guidance.
It varies with hair length, density, wash frequency, how much product you use and how well the bar dries between washes. We are reviewing our wash-count guidance so the number we publish reflects real use.
A different cleansing formula, technique, water conditions, previous product build-up or simply using too much or too little product can change how hair feels. If the result isn’t right, treat that as useful information rather than assuming you need to push through an arbitrary transition period.
Some hair benefits from conditioner and some routines need less of it. Your lengths, texture, chemical history, damage and desired finish matter. Shampoo cleanses; conditioner has a different job.
Let it drain and dry between uses rather than leaving it sitting in water. A well-drained dish or rack helps a concentrated bar last longer.
They are not automatically the same thing. Many modern shampoo bars are solid cleansing formulations made specifically for hair and scalp, while traditional soap is produced through saponification and generally behaves differently.
